Canoe Trails
The Bala area has outstanding canoeing and kayaking opportunities, ranging from the largest natural lake in Wales (Bala Lake or Llyn Tegid) to the National Whitewater Centre (Canolfan Tryweryn), which has hosted the Canoe Slalom & Wild Water World Championships. The River Dee at Llangollen provides another permanent white-water venue.
